---ENG: The first open test of the Capri-Napoli 2024 "speaks" French. The transalpine Alexandre Marcel Bermond is the winner of the Solo, the challenge at sea which yesterday, Friday 21 June, took the swimmers from the Le Ondine beach in Capri to the Circolo Canottieri Napoli, where the race ended after 36 km. Bermond completed the crossing in 8.12.20, preceding the Brazilian Tomas Cunha (8.35.30) and the Italian Moreno Bettinazzi (8.36.10). Completing the French celebration was Yoann Ramplou's fourth place, arriving after 8.50.30. “I can only be happy with how it went – says Bermond – also because for me it was the first Capri-Napoli. I must compliment the organization and say thanks to my boat driver, who always accompanied me carefully. After 10 km, I encountered some difficulties due to the unfavorable current and the somewhat rough sea, but overall everything went in the best possible way, taking into account that it is still an open sea crossing".
Before the Solo performers, the relays arrived. Without rivals the members of Aqa Cosenza (Jonathan Real Hernandez, Davide Zicarelli, Sergio Luca Zicarelli, Francesco Manna, Alessandro Tassone and William Savino) who finished in 7.21.50, having the better of Rari Nantes Salerno (7.53.40, Vincenzo Adinolfi, Fulvio Ansalone, Giovanni Marco Albano, Luca Parrella, Vincenzo Francesco Poderico and Ivano Quaranta) and “3 uomini ed 1 gamba” (8.13.30, Marco Bovi, Massimo Tagliapietra, Andrea Pedrazzoli and Florentina Ciocilteu). “We decided to swim ten minutes each – says Aqa Cosenza's swimmer-coach, Francesco Manna – and then, in the end, move on to five minutes to increase the pace. We must say thanks to our boat driver, who showed us a wider route, which allowed us, when the wind direction changed around 11.30-12, to have the current in our favor in the second part. We will always remember the emotions of this day, especially when we encountered two dolphins along our journey."
It will be repeated on Friday 28 June, when the second of the three open tests promoted by the organization of Luciano Cotena's Eventi & Comunicazione company is scheduled. The participation of 35 swimmers (21 men and 14 women) from seven nations is expected: Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Israel, Mexico, Turkey and Italy. Nine will compete in solo, the others in five relays. Among the protagonists in the team event is also the Argentinian Pilar Geijo, who has participated in twelve editions of the Gulf marathon, who will lead a team from her country.
