Thanks to Riccardo Chiarcos, able not only to excel in the second of the three open races of the Capri-Naples, but also to do it with a time that allowed him to snatch the pass for the official test, scheduled for Sunday 5 September. The 29-year-old from Novara has in fact covered the 36 km that separate the Ondine Beach Club of Capri from the Posillipo Nautical Club (starting and finishing point of the race) stopping the stopwatch at 7.00.31, thus winning the right to compete in the last leg of the FINA 2021 World Cup race (UltraMarathon).

Sono i numeri dell’edizione 2021 della Capri-Napoli open, la prova non competitiva che quest’anno, per venire incontro alle esigenze degli atleti, si svolgerà in tre tappe: il 25 giugno e il 2 e 9 luglio. Come di consueto la competizione “amatoriale” anticipa la prova di Coppa del Mondo, che vedrà assegnare il trofeo Farmacosmo domenica 5 settembre.

--- ENG: Sixty-three participants representing five nations. These are the numbers of the 2021 edition of the Capri-Napoli open events. They will take place in three dates: 25 June and 2 and 9 July. As usual, the “open” competition anticipates the World Cup event scheduled on Sunday 5th September.

These are the numbers of the three tests: on Friday 25 June there will be eighteen competitors in the race (six in the Solo and twelve in the relays); on 2 July the participants will rise to 26 (two in the Solo and 24 in the relays); finally, on 9 July 19 swimmers are announced at the start (three in the Solo, two in the Duo, 14 in the relays).

---ITA: Napoli regina delle stelle del nuoto di fondo nel 2022. L’incoronazione è arrivata durante la cerimonia di premiazione dell’International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame che ha premiato i protagonisti del 2020. L’evento si sarebbe dovuto tenere a New York, ma a causa della pandemia la cerimonia si è svolta da remoto.
Durante l’iniziativa è stato trasmesso un video su Napoli e la Capri-Napoli, la storica traversata del Golfo, per ufficializzare come il capoluogo campano sarà, il 7 maggio 2022, la sede dell’annuale cerimonia. L’assegnazione è un riconoscimento a tutta l’Italia ma soprattutto per la Campania e Napoli che, proprio con la Capri-Napoli, hanno scritto la storia mondiale della disciplina.

---ENG: Naples, queen of the stars of open water swimming in 2022. The coronation came during the awards ceremony of the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame that awarded the protagonists of 2020. The event was supposed to be held in New York, but in due to the pandemic, the ceremony took place on the web.
During the event, a video was broadcast on Naples and the Capri-Naples, the historic crossing of the Gulf, to formalize how the city of Naples will be, on 7 May 2022, the venue for the annual ceremony. The award is a recognition to all of Italy but above all for Campania and Naples which, with the Capri-Naples, have written the world history of the discipline.

---ITA: La IMSHOF (International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame) ha appena ufficializzato che la Capri-Napoli entra nella hall of fame del nuoto mondiale, per la classe 2021, nella sezione “Honor Organizations”.
Un grande riconoscimento per la storica e tradizionale maratona natatoria italiana, la cui prima edizione risale al 1° agosto 1954, mentre l’ultima è stata realizzata il 6 settembre 2020. Nel mezzo 55 edizioni in 67 anni. Una delle più antiche competizioni tra quelle che vengono ancora disputate e la più antica tra quelle presenti nei 2 circuiti mondiali FINA dell’open water (marathon e ultramarathon).
La cerimonia ufficiale in programma a New York il primo maggio 2021.

---ENG: IMSHOF (International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame) has just officially announced that the Capri-Napoli enters the hall of fame, for the 2021 class, in the “Honor Organizations” section.
A great recognition for the historic and traditional Italian swimming marathon, the first edition of which dates back to 1 August 1954, while the last was held on 6 September 2020. In between 55 editions in 67 years. One of the oldest competitions among those still held and the oldest among those present in the 2 FINA world open water circuits (marathon and ultramarathon).
The official ceremony scheduled in New York on May 1st 2021.
