Terza prova open - 3rd competition open

---ITA: “Il mare non è un ostacolo da superare ma un patrimonio da conoscere, rispettare e proteggere”. È il messaggio lanciato da Marevivo durante la Capri-Napoli svoltasi ieri, venerdì 26 giugno. In occasione della terza prova open della gara natatoria organizzata dalla società Eventualmente Eventi & Comunicazione di Luciano Cotena, l’associazione nata nel 1985 per la tutela dell’oro blu e più in generale dell’ambiente ha voluto promuovere un’iniziativa a metà strada tra lo sport e la salvaguardia delle risorse naturali: l’ha fatto schierando un proprio rappresentante, Eduard Von Slawik, al via della competizione sulla distanza di 36 chilometri, quelli che separano Le Ondine Beach Club di Capri (da dove si è partiti) alla zona del Molosiglio a ridosso del Circolo Canottieri Napoli, dove gli atleti sono giunti e dove successivamente si è svolta la cerimonia di premiazione.
Una partecipazione simbolica, che ha riguardato un altro evento italiano legato al nuoto in acque libere, la traversata dello Stretto di Messina, dove erano iscritti altri tre nuotatori impegnati sotto il vessillo di Marevivo: “La mia – ammette Eduard Von Slawik – è stata una partecipazione simbolica ma con un importantissimo messaggio alla base. Il nostro è un impegno verso una risorsa, il mare, fondamentale per l’esistenza di tutta l’umanità. Vengo da Torino, dove il mare non c’è, e sono consapevole di quanto la sua tutela sia fondamentale. Un aspetto che ritroviamo nel lavoro quotidiano portato avanti da Marevivo”.
Restando alla competizione sportiva, la Capri-Napoli open ha fatto segnare un nuovo record: è quello di cui può fregiarsi Michele Cattani, allenatore del Team Marche, il giovanissimo sodalizio (tutti classe 2008 con l’aggiunta di un 2010) che si è aggiudicato la prova a staffetta, compiendo il percorso in poco più di otto ore (8.07.58 il tempo finale). Cattani, infatti, è al quattro successo da tecnico alla Maratona del Golfo nelle prove a squadre: “Conquistati con tre compagini diverse – sorride – Una bella soddisfazione. Qui mi sento a casa, grazie anche all’accoglienza e alla perfetta organizzazione che fa capo a Luciano Cotena”.
Il Team Marche (composto da Lorenzo Lentinello, Alessandro Mari, Marco Marzocchi, Cristian Lauriola e Yuri Ragaini) ha dominato la prova, precedendo il Cds Sapa Team e “I tre amigos” (che hanno completato il podio). “Avevamo studiato una prova con cambi regolari ogni mezz’ora – afferma Michele Cattani – Poi il mare è cambiato e ci ha messo in difficoltà. Grazie al sistema Gps di cui è dotata l’organizzazione, abbiamo potuto vedere come alle nostre spalle gli avversari si stavano facendo sotto. Siamo allora passati ad una strategia che prevedeva frazioni più serrate, prima di un quarto d’ora, quindi di dieci minuti. Questo ci ha permesso di allungare nuovamente e di non correre più rischi fino al traguardo”.

This is the message launched by Marevivo during the Capri-Naples race held yesterday, Friday, June 26. For the third open round of the swimming competition, organized by Luciano Cotena's company Eventualmente Eventi & Comunicazione, the association founded in 1985 to protect the sea and the environment in general, wanted to promote an initiative halfway between sport and the protection of natural resources. It did so by fielding its own representative, Eduard Von Slawik, at the start of the 36-kilometer race, the distance between Le Ondine Beach Club in Capri (where the race started) and the Molosiglio area near the Circolo Canottieri Napoli, where the athletes arrived and where the awards ceremony was held.
A symbolic participation, which involved another Italian open-water swimming event, the crossing of the Strait of Messina, where three other swimmers were registered under the Marevivo banner: "Mine," admits Eduard Von Slawik, "was a symbolic participation, but with a very important underlying message. Ours is a commitment to a resource, the sea, fundamental to the existence of all humanity. I come from Turin, where there is no sea, and I am aware of how essential its protection is. This is an aspect that we find in the daily work carried out by Marevivo."
Remaining in the sporting competition, the Capri-Napoli Open set a new record: it's the one held by Michele Cattani, coach of Team Marche, the very young team (all born in 2008 with the addition of one born in 2010) who won the relay race, completing the course in just over eight hours (a final time of 8:07:58). Cattani, in fact, is now on his fourth team victory as a coach at the Maratona del Golfo: "Won with three different teams," he smiles. "A great satisfaction. I feel at home here, thanks also to the welcome and the perfect organization led by Luciano Cotena."
Team Marche (composed of Lorenzo Lentinello, Alessandro Mari, Marco Marzocchi, Cristian Lauriola, and Yuri Ragaini) dominated the race, finishing ahead of the Cds Sapa Team and "I tre amigos" (who completed the podium). "We had planned a race with regular changes every half hour," says Michele Cattani. "Then the sea changed and put us in difficulty. Thanks to the organization's GPS system, we could see how our opponents were closing in behind us. We then switched to a strategy that included more intense sections, first lasting a quarter of an hour, then ten minutes. This allowed us to pull away again and avoid any further risks until the finish line."
